Dear colleagues,
We are organizing a Special Session on Self-organizing Clustering for
Continual Learning and its Applications at the International Joint
Conference on Neural Networks 2025 (https://2025.ijcnn.org/), held in Rome,
Italy.
Scope and Topics
This special session focuses on continual learning techniques for adaptive
and autonomous systems in dynamic and complex environments. Continual
learning, inspired by human cognitive processes, aims to equip intelligent
systems with the ability to incrementally acquire, refine, and synthesize
knowledge over time. The session seeks to bridge theoretical advancements
and practical applications in artificial intelligence, fostering
interdisciplinary discussions that integrate neural networks with domains
such as robotics and dynamic information systems.
We welcome the submission of high-quality papers that utilize
self-organizing clustering algorithms and other computational intelligence
techniques to address the challenges of continual learning in dynamic and
complex environments.
Topics of interest include, but not limited to:
• Self-organizing clustering algorithms for continual learning
• Neural networks for adaptive learning in dynamic environments
• Spatiotemporal analysis in dynamic systems for long-term learning
• Applications of continual learning in robotics, network systems, and
smart environments
• Cognitive architectures inspired by human learning mechanisms
• Theoretical foundations and practical implementations of continual
learning in neural networks
• Applications of continual learning in interdisciplinary fields, including
healthcare, finance, and autonomous systems
Important Dates
• Paper Submission Deadline: 15 January 2025
• Paper Acceptance Notification: 31 March 2025
• Camera-Ready Paper Submission Deadline: 1 May 2025
• Conference Date: 30 June - 5 July 2025
