Job Description - Junior Technician in Augmented Reality and Computer Vision (2300006X)
Commitment & contract: 1-year fixed term employee contract, renewable
Location: Genoa, Italy

YOUR TEAM
You will be working in the Pattern Analysis and Computer vision (PAVIS) Research Line, a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural group where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out
the research on Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.
PAVIS research Line is coordinated by Dr. Alessio Del Bue.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:
- Developing Augmented Reality Apps with ARCore (preferable) or/and ARKit frameworks using Unity Development Platform
- Software testing and prototyping of computational systems based on Computer Vision and Machine Learning technology
- Support PAVIS facility maintenance and organization
- Support PAVIS researcher activities related to European project: BoSS – Bauhaus of the Seas Sails

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE
- A Master or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar discipline
- Documented experience in Augmented Reality App Development (ARCore preferred) and Unity
- Deep knowledge of the Python and C# programming languages, using JSON protocol
- Ability to work on both backend and frontend sides
- Good programming skills
- Good knowledge of the English language
- A cooperative approach
- Accuracy and good analytical skills
EXTRA AWESOME
- Experience with modern software development tools and technologies (CI/CD, test drive development,
Git, microservices, Docker, MQTT, DevOps, Neo4j
- Experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning models (e.g. Pytorch, Tensorflow)
- Working experience in the public or private research sector
- Experience in managing computer networks and network programming
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem solving attitude
- High motivation to learn
- Spirit of innovation and creativity
- Good in time and priority management
- Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary and multicultural environment
