We would like to highlight the following three aspects of the job
announcement:
- in spite of the title (Associate Professor), this is an entry-level
position in the Norwegian system; newly minted PhDs are eligible to apply,
but their thesis must have been submitted by the application deadline,
which should be documented;
- the position is permanent/tenured;
- applicants are not required to know Norwegian (or another Scandinavian
language) by the start date, and the faculty provides support for learning
Norwegian after arriving in Oslo.
