Connectionists: Sensory-motor "alphabet"

Hello everyone,

I wonder whether there are any attempts to formalise a way  
sensory-motor data could be stored and shared. I guess the next stage  
after language models could be sensory-motor models that would enable  
robots to be trained in a similar fashion as language models are  
trained.
