In the interest of keeping the debate sensible...

Please, everyone, it's really not cool to attack a statement that "New 
approach X is over-hyped and destined for failure" with a list of all 
the times in the past when others made similar claims about something 
that ultimately proved successful.

Heaven knows, if this community can't spot a case of Confirmation Bias, 
who can?
