Data scientist (permanent position) available at Johann Heinrich von Thünen Institute in Germany.
Main duties of post holder:
• Statistical consulting in the field of experimental design and analysis.
• Statistical method development in the field of digitalisation on farms
• Preparation of scientific publications
• Presentation of results at national and international conferences
• Design and acquisition of projects in collaborative projects

Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge
Essential:
• University degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in the field of statistics or related subjects.
• The Ability to work independently and scientifically, as demonstrated by a doctoral degree
• The Ability to present complex issues clearly and comprehensibly, both orally and in writing
• In-depth knowledge of or interest in time series analysis for the development of monitoring systems
• Proven scientific publications
• Goal-oriented and independent working style, high degree of initiative
• Enjoy scientific work in an interdisciplinary environment and supporting colleagues
• Very good knowledge of English and, if no knowledge of German is available, willingness to learn German; a good knowledge of German is an advantage; the official language is German
• Desirable Knowledge in the field of agricultural sciences is an advantage

The employment is governed by the Wage Agreement for Public Services (TVöD-Bund). The payment of remuneration is carried out according to tariff-category 14 TVöD. A part time position is also possible.
