Dear Colleagues:
(Apologies for cross-posting)
There are a few more days left to apply for the open-rank, tenure-track or tenured faculty position in theoretical statistical physics/AI at the Department of Physics <http://www.physics.emory.edu/home/index.html> at Emory University<https://www.emory.edu/home/index.html>, to begin in the fall 2023.
The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of theoretical statistical physics and machine learning / statistical inference and will connect these fields to other existing research strengths in the Department (biological physics, soft matter physics, condensed matter and optics). The candidate will also complement the research strengths of the University more generally, for instance by adding to Emory's internationally recognized expertise in biological and biomedical sciences<http://whsc.emory.edu/index.html> and in the Theory and Modeling of Living Systems<https://livingtheory.emory.edu/>. The candidate will benefit from and actively seek collaborative interactions, including with the cohort of other recruits in the university-wide AI.Humanity initiative<https://aihumanity.emory.edu/>.
Detailed job posting and application instructions can be found at https://apply.interfolio.com/114405.
Applications close Dec 15, 2022.
Please forward this announcement widely.
Sincerely,
Ilya Nemenman
