The second talk in the 2021 Western-Fields Seminar Series in Networks, Random Graphs, and Neuroscience <http://www.fields.utoronto.ca/activities/20-21/western-fields-seminar-series-networks-random-graphs-and-neuroscience> is next Thursday (13 May) at noon EST. 

Lee Smolin <https://perimeterinstitute.ca/people/lee-smolin> (Perimeter Institute) will speak about random graph theory. Dr. Smolin has made foundational contributions to loop quantum gravity and is an influential modern thinker in mathematical physics. Dr. Smolin is known for excellent expositions in books, articles, and lectures spanning scientific domains.

This seminar series features monthly virtual talks from a diverse group of researchers across machine learning, physics, computational neuroscience, and graph theory. Upcoming speakers include Sudeshna Sinha (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research), Todd Coleman (University of California, San Diego), Alexander Lubotzky (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), Frances Skinner (Krembil Institute), and more.
