We are delighted to announce HealTAC 2021, the forth annual Healthcare Text
Analytics Conference. Given the ongoing situation with the COVID-19
pandemic, HealTAC 2021 will be an *online* event, but if the circumstances
allow, we aim to organise a *blended* conference, with some activities also
delivered face-to-face in London, UK. As in previous years, HealTAC 2021
will bring the academic, clinical, industrial and patient communities
together to discuss the current state of the art in processing healthcare
free-text data and share experience, results and challenges.

*Keynotes*:

- *Dr Aurélie Névéol *(Université Paris-Saclay, CNRS, LIMSI), who will
discuss “Responsible bioNLP in the making: contributions from ethics,
reproducibility and the state of NLP"

- *Prof Maria Liakata* (Queen Mary University, the Alan Turing Institute),
who will talk about longitudinal models of NLP and their application to
mental health.

*Submissions*: We invite full and short papers, posters, PhD student/early
postdoc papers, demos, tutorials and panel proposals that address any
methodological or implementational aspect involved in processing and using
healthcare free text data. Submissions are welcome from all disciplines
interested in this area (NLP, speech processing, clinical and social care,
legal, auditing etc.).
