*CLVision: Workshop on Continual Learning in Computer Vision (2nd Edition)

The *CVPR 2021 Workshop on Continual Learning* (CLVision, 2nd edition) aims
to gather researchers and engineers from academia and industry to discuss
the latest advances in Continual Learning. In this one-day workshop, we
will have regular paper presentations, invited speakers, and technical
benchmark challenges to present the current state of the art, as well as
the limitations and future directions for computer vision in continual
learning, arguably one of the most crucial milestones of computer vision
and AI in general.

*You can participate in the workshop by applying a continual learning
related paper (short, non-archival or full-length) or by participation in
our well-tailored challenge tracks, both providing exciting prizes from our
sponsors.*

*Important Dates (call for papers)*

   - *Workshop paper submission deadline*: *March 20th 2020 (11:59 pm
   Pacific Time)*
   - Notification to authors: 7th April 2020 (11:59 pm Pacific Time)
   - Camera-ready deadline: Mid April 2021 (to be decided by CVPR
   organizers)
   - Workshop date: 19th, 20th or 25th June 2021 (to be decided by CVPR
   organizers)

*Challenge Description*

Research in continual learning has accelerated in the last five years.
Sadly, the different assumptions about the data distribution and the level
of supervision provided by the environment have created a plethora of
evaluation settings. It can thus be difficult to evaluate the
generalization capabilities of the different continual learning algorithms.

For this year’s competition, we focus on the development of methods that
are agnostic to the level of supervision, i.e., methods that can be
instantiated in supervised learning as well as reinforcement learning. The
tools offered in the provided codebase will let challengers build solutions
that will automatically be tested in continual supervised learning and
continual reinforcement learning benchmarks. The final score will be a
combination of both performances.
