Dear colleagues,
Please see the ad below for a postdoctoral position (the deadline is January 15). I’m looking for excellent candidates who are interested in the intersection of machine learning and cognitive science broadly construed, but particularly people who want to work on problems like integrating more structure into reinforcement learning, approaches to and applications of meta-learning, or using machine learning as a tool in the analysis of large behavioral datasets (particularly decision-making). Start date is more flexible than the ad suggests.
Best wishes,
Tom.

Postdoctoral position in machine learning and cognitive science
The Computational Cognitive Science Lab and the Computer Science Department at Princeton University is seeking to hire a postdoctoral or more senior researcher at the intersection of machine learning and cognitive science. Positions are for one year anticipated to start in July 2021 with the possibility of renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding. Potential research topics include hierarchical reinforcement learning, meta-learning and lifelong learning, and use of machine learning techniques to predict human decision-making. Familiarity with machine learning, statistics, or computational models of cognition as a prerequisite, but researchers with PhDs in disciplines other than computer science are eligible to apply.
Applicants must apply at
https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/18661
