Connectionists: Post-doctoral Scholar Position at The Pennsylvania State University Center for Socially Responsible AI

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking multiple outstanding postdoctoral candidates to join the Intelligent Information Systems Laboratory (http://iis.ist.psu.edu/ <http://iis.ist.psu.edu/>) at the College of Information Sciences and Technology.  The positions are available immediately.  The projects involve research on artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and machine learning with applications in health informatics, sustainability, social informatics, etc. 

Required skills for all positions include: A strong record of technical excellence and achievement as demonstrated through publications, software development and release, presentations at national and international meetings, and independent research in relevant disciplines. Experience in software development to empirically validate research hypotheses. Demonstrated strong written communication skills.  Must be self-directed and have successful experience working in an interdisciplinary, team-oriented technical atmosphere, able and willing to contribute towards proposal writing and assisting in mentoring graduate and undergraduate research.

Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Industrial Engineering, or a related subject.
