Connectionists: CAIRO: Several professorship position (univ. of applied sciences) to be filled in artificial intelligence

Dear all,

we are creating a new center on artificial intelligence in Wuerzburg, Germany
(CAIRO) with multiple open positions (right now we announced 4 positions)

The positions are research professorships with a reduced teaching load
(German W2 level, maybe comparable to senior lecturer status or kind of
assistant professor - see e.g (but with reduced teaching load)

and will establish a center for AI (CAIRO) in Wuerzburg
- do research & attract projects
- have some minimal administrative duties
- have only 9 x 45 min teaching duties per week (9 SWS) during the terms
- will be involved in the new created MSc program on Artificial Intelligence

This is an exciting moment and chance.

The positions are located here in Wuerzburg and the curriculum will be
(so far) in English only (it may be necessary to learn some German in the
first years) . To be eligible it is mandatory to have 5 years working
experience after MSc. including at least 3 years of industrial
experience (can be spread and in parts some industry related research institute
may also count).

The positions announced right now have the following topics:
 - Reasoning and Acting in AI / Foundations of Cognitive Computing
 - Representation and Learning in AI
 - Semantic Data Processing and Cognitive Computing
 - Robotics and AI (also linked to the Center Robotics and Intelligence
    (CERI)
