*Postdoctoral researcher positions at the European Centre for Living
Technology*

*Call for expression of interest*

The European Centre for Living Technology <http://ecltech.org> (ECLT) at
Ca’ Foscari University
in Venice is now hiring postdoctoral researchers for a working group on
Systems approaches for the discovery of combinatorial therapies for complex
disorders. The group’s research consists in selecting and processing
functional
information for personalized medicine decision making for renal pathologies
in
type II diabetes. Based on large heterogeneous patient datasets, the group
will
develop methodologies to identify optimal individualized combinatorial
treatments.

The research is funded through the H2020 EU project: Drug combinations for
rewriting trajectories of renal pathologies in type II diabetes (DC-ren, €
6M
budget), which runs from January 2020 to January 2025. This
interdisciplinary
project is coordinated by the Medizinische Universitat of Innsbruck
(Austria)
with Professor Gert Meyer as principal investigator, and with partners from
Austria, Germany, Netherland, Denmark, Israel and Italy. The ECLT team is
coordinated by *Professor Irene Poli <irenpoli at unive.it>* and includes
statisticians and computer
scientists.

ECLT invites expressions of interest from qualified scholars in the fields
of
statistical models, machine learning, complex systems, and evolutionary
search.

Candidates are invited to send an email to eclt at unive.it with subject line
Call
for interest in DC-ren, including cv and a motivating letter.

After the closure of the present call for expressions of interest, ECLT
will issue
a formal Call for Applications.
