The Perception and Activity Understanding group seeks one creative and motivated postdoctoral candidate to work on an innovation project funded by theArk foundation. The project objective is to design accurate eye gaze estimation algorithms suitable for interaction with mobile phones and laptops. This will require the investigation and integration of different computer vision and machine learning technologies for both enhancing current systems as well as to develop novel strategies. The project will be conducted in partnership with Eyeware (https://eyeware.tech/ <https://eyeware.tech/>), therefore there will be a direct impact of your research on the development of commercial applications.
The ideal candidate should hold a PhD in computer science or engineering with good analytical skills, a strong publication record and background in several of the following:
- computer vision (including 3D geometry)
- machine learning
- deep learning
- optimisation methods
- programming experience.
The position is to be filled immediately, and is for one year. The annual gross salary is 80,000 CHF.
