Connectionists: Postdoc position in Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles

We have a postdoc position available in the Motor Systems Neuroscience and Neural Engineering Laboratory (www.gulatilab.org<http://www.gulatilab.org/> ) at Cedars-Sinai’s newly formed Center of Neural Science (website: https://www.cedars-sinai.org/research/areas/neural-science.html).

Ideal candidate would hold a PhD in Biomedical Engineering/ Neuroscience or a related discipline. The project will involve using a combination of systems neuroscience & neural engineering methods, as well as causal manipulation of networks (intact/ injured) sub-serving skilled motor behaviors. One of the immediate goals is to record from motor cortex and cerebellum together as rodents learn a reaching task. Postdoc will also participate in manuscript preparation, present data at conferences, and get an opportunity to mentor RAs/ grad students and research interns in the lab.

Experience in one or more of the following domains is highly preferred: Matlab/ Python Programming, Animal Training, Neurophysiology. Possibilities exist to be involved in rodent/ clinical research.
