Connectionists: RFP of interest

The Foundational Questions Institute fqxi.org has recently announced
an RFP on "Consciousness in the Physical World". It is relevant to
many fields including both theoretical and experimental neuroscience.
They are seeking high impact, high risk, research on consciousness.
This is a good source for research that would be considered too risky
to be fundable by NSF or NIH, but at the same time sheds light on "Big
Picture" questions. The initial proposals are due February 12, 2020,
but are short, and serve as an initial screening. Full proposals are
due May 28, 2020.
