ICML 2020 Call for Papers

The 37th International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML 2020) will be
held in Vienna, Austria from 12 July to 18 July, 2020. The conference will
consist of one Expo day (12 July), one day of tutorials (13 July), followed
by three days of main conference sessions (14-16 July), followed by two
days of workshops (17-18 July). We invite submissions of papers on all
topics related to machine learning for the main conference proceedings.

Deadlines: This year, ICML will continue with a single review cycle, with
an abstract submission deadline of Jan 30, 2020 AOE and a full paper
submission deadline of Feb 06, 2020 AOE; all paper submission deadlines are
"Anywhere On Earth."

Submissions will open 7 Jan, 2020 and can be submitted through CMT:

  https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ICML2020/

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

   1.

General Machine Learning (active learning, clustering, online learning,
ranking, reinforcement learning, semi-supervised learning, time series
   analysis, unsupervised learning, etc.)
   2.

Deep Learning (architectures, generative models, deep reinforcement
   learning, etc.)
   3.

Learning Theory (bandits, game theory, statistical learning theory, etc.)
   4.

Optimization (convex and non-convex optimization, matrix/tensor methods,
   sparsity, etc.)
   5.

Probabilistic Inference (Bayesian methods, graphical models, Monte Carlo
   methods, etc.)
   6.

Trustworthy Machine Learning (accountability, causality, fairness,
   privacy, robustness, etc.)
   7.

   Applications (computational biology, crowdsourcing, healthcare,
neuroscience, social good, climate science, etc.)

We encourage the submission of papers that develop machine learning
techniques to address socially relevant problems, ethical AI and AI safety.

Papers published at ICML are indexed in the Proceedings of Machine Learning
Research <http://proceedings.mlr.press/> through the Journal of Machine
Learning Research. Paper acceptance decisions are made without concern for
funding, and authors of accepted papers receive priority for travel awards
as needed. We have given eight weeks between notifications of paper
acceptance and the conference to allow for visa processing, and will work
to award travel funding for those who need visas as quickly as possible.

Author and Style Instructions: View author instructions, including policies
around dual submission, anonymization, and style files at
https://icml.cc/Conferences/2020/StyleAuthorInstructions. Submitted papers
that do not conform to these policies may be rejected without review.
