A happy new year!

We are looking for a staff scientist or postdoctoral scholar at Neural Computation Unit, lead by Prof. Kenji Doya, Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) Graduate University.

The dual aims of Neural Computation Unit are to understand the brain’s learning mechanisms and to develop brain-inspired computing frameworks. A candidate should have a strong background in mathematics, computer science and/or machine learning, and a keen interest in understanding how the brain works. A staff scientist should have at least three years of postdoctoral research experience and be willing to support fellow researchers and students.

OIST offers an excellent interdisciplinary research environment in its campus overlooking beautiful coral reefs. Competitive salary is offered based on the candidate’s experience.
