The Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at University of Essex, UK
is working in partnership with Firza Ltd to offer an exciting opportunity
for a Data Scientist (KTP Associate) to develop an AI-driven Primary Care
Workflow Automation System to collect, process and act upon patient data, ,
using Natural Learning Processing (NLP), Computer Vision (CV) and Machine
Learning (ML) techniques.
*DUTIES OF THE POST*
The duties of the post will include:
* Investigation of machine learning, OCR and text classification
techniques.
* Design and development of an automated document classification
system for classifying scanned and electronic medical patient document
types and information sources.
* Development of pipeline processes combining document image
recognition, document classification, text analysis and knowledge
extraction components using external medical data metathesaurus and
semantic networks /ontologies.
* Investigation of probabilistic and fuzzy logic techniques for
inexact text terms matching and risk assessment pertaining extracted and
classified medical information.
* Development of advanced document classification, text extraction
and patient risk assessment.
* Pro-processing and compiling medical domain datasets for
evaluating the integrated documentation classification system.
* Preparing academic papers and patents applications.
