Connectionists: Multiple PhD positions on Trustworthy AI

We are currently offering multiple PhD positions within the research training group “dataninja” (each position will be for three and a half years). 

The Dataninja research training group is focused on developing novel methods in the area of trustworthy Artificial Intelligence. The goal is to make AI more robust, easier to integrate, more trustworthy, and more secure. In particular, the research program is aiming to provide progress with regard to three dedicated domains:
	- Consider Artificial Intelligence as a catalyst for data analysis and data mining in science;
	- establish AI as part of the whole value chain for business and production;
	- develop trustworthy AI algorithm considering societal challenges.

Dataninja connects leading research groups in AI in North Rhine-Westphalia and offers young academics an ideal opportunity to establish their own research in the core areas of AI as part of an excellent network. Positions are open in seven different projects that are hosted at different working groups across North Rhine-Westphalia.

We expect (more details see in job offers on our website):
	- completed university degree and completed or highly advanced scientific studies in Computer Science, Data Science, or related disciplines
	- strong programming, computational, and analytical skills
	- a high degree of scientific curiosity, in particular in the area of Artificial Intelligence
	- good English and communications skills

We offer fully funded PhD positions for three and a half years.

Expected starting date: Early 2021
