Description:
Predictive maintenance is acknowledged as one of the "killer
applications" in the fourth industrial revolution, Industry 4.0. The
enabling technologies are machine learning and artificial intelligence.
The company TAM Software s.r.l., based in La Spezia, Italy, offers a
range of application software products for maintenance management,
planning, tracking, ticketing, and other maintenance-related services.
The activity consists in developing extensions of such software suite,
based on machine learning, that can provide forecasting abilities to
anticipate the necessity of future maintainance interventions
(predictive maintenance), but also to estimate the conditions that are
going to occur, to allow a much more detailed planning (prognostic
maintenance). This ability notably increases the efficiency both in
terms of plant performance (minimizing downtimes) and of its cost
(minimizing interventions).
In case of a successful 2-year collaboration, the company may hire the
candidate as permanent staff.
