ISMIR 2019, Delft, The Netherlands, November 4-8 2019

20th International Conference on Music Information Retrieval

http://ismir2019.ismir.net

==================================================

This is the last call for papers for the 20th ISMIR conference. The
submission system is now open at
https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ISMIR2019/

Please be aware of the main changes we are implementing this year,
summarized below.

NEW IN ISMIR 2019

A number of changes are taking place in 2019:

1. Submission system. We will use a different submission system, namely
Microsoft CMT. This is a change that is strategic for ISMIR at large,
and necessary to accommodate the current needs of our review process.

2.Preprint policy. We discourage authors from posting near duplicate
manuscripts on public archives like arXiv. These submissions could be
rejected if double-blind reviews can not be guaranteed in the given
timeframe. Authors will be asked during submission whether preprints
exist, but this information will NOT be available to reviewers or
meta-reviewers.

3. Insights. This year we specially call for submissions that explicitly
discuss reusable insights that may go beyond the scope of the paper,
domain or application, in order to build up consistent knowledge across
the MIR community.

4. Supplementary material. In addition to the PDF file of the
manuscript, authors will now be able to also upload supplementary files
for their submission, such as audio samples, code or additional results.
We strongly encourage authors to do this.

5. Main message.During submission, authors will be asked for ONE line of
text stating the main take-home message of their work. This information
will NOT be available to reviewers or meta-reviewers; it is intended to
help organize cohesive sessions for the conference.

CALL FOR ANNIVERSARY PAPERS

To commemorate this year's anniversary of 20 years of ISMIR conferences,
