Connectionists: Graduate Research Assistantships in Neural Signal Processing

The Advanced Signal Processing in Engineering and Neuroscience (ASPEN)
Laboratory at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking qualified
and ambitious graduate research assistants for funded projects on neural
speech decoding and neurofeedback in virtual reality.  Preference will be
given to Ph.D. students with prior experience in signal processing and
machine learning for neural and speech signals.  Proficiency in MATLAB is
expected.  The research assistantships offer a competitive stipend and
tuition waiver.  

 

The ASPEN Lab collaborates with the VCU Epilepsy Center, UC San Diego
Epilepsy Center, and the Cognitive Systems Lab at the University of Bremen,
Germany to conduct original neuroscientific studies using intracranial brain
signals.  The lab also maintains active collaborations with several
prominent neurotechnology labs around the world.  For more information on
