Connectionists: 6th International School for Young Scientists “Active and Passive Methods of Brain Research” (19-21 April 2019)

Center for Cognition and Decision Making at HSE is pleased to invite you to our 6th International School for Young Scientists “Active and Passive Methods of the Brain Research”.
Modern techniques of non-invasive brain stimulation (TMS, TES) and electroencephalography EEG are the methods which help to evaluate the role of the various neuronal structures and promote understanding of the complex work of the whole brain. School participants will have a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience with these techniques (TMS, TES, EEG) and learn about their advantages and limitations. The program also covers the topics on data analysis and interpretation.

Invited keynote speakers are:

Rossi Simone (Università degli Studi di Siena, Italy)
Lioumis Pantelis (Aalto University, Finland)
Santarnecchi Emiliano (CNBS, Harvard Medical School, USA)
 
School topics:
Day 1: Basics of non-invasive brain stimulation
Day 2: Combination of different neurostimulation techniques
Day 3: Analysis and interpretation of the neurostimulation/neuroimaging data
 
The school is organized by experts and leading scientists from:
Higher School of Economics (Russia)
Aalto University (Finland)
Università degli Studi di Siena (Italy)
 
Dates: 19-21 April 2019
 
Registration: school fee – 1000 rubles (in some cases compensation may be provided).
Registration is open until 10th of April.
 
School audience: undergraduate and graduate students, early career researchers.

School format: 3 days - 7 hours per day.
