The preliminary program of the ESANN 2019 conference is now available: http://www.esann.org/.

For 27 years the ESANN conference has become a major event in the field of neural computation and machine learning. ESANN is a selective conference focusing on fundamental aspects of artificial neural networks, machine learning, statistical information processing and computational intelligence. Mathematical foundations, algorithms and tools, and applications are covered.

ESANN 2019 will include the following sessions:
- Classification and Bayesian learning
- Embeddings and Representation Learning for Structured Data
- Deep learning and CNN
- Learning methods and optimization
- 60 Years of Weightless Neural Systems
- Domain adaptation and learning
- Streaming data analysis, concept drift and analysis of dynamic data sets
- Societal Issues in Machine Learning: When Learning from Data is Not Enough
- Statistical physics of learning and inference
- Image processing and transfer learning
- Time series and signal processing
- Dynamical systems and reinforcement learning

The conference will be held in Bruges (also called "Venice of the North"), one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Europe. Bruges can be reached by train from Brussels in less than one hour (frequent trains). Designated as the "Venice of the North", the city has preserved all the charms of the medieval heritage. Its centre, which is inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage list, is in itself a real open air museum.
