The Department of History and Social Sciences (Institute for Linguistics and
Literature) at the Technische Universität Darmstadt offers a position as a

 

Research Associate (m/f/d) – 100%

at the Laboratory for Empirical Reception Research (LitLab - Prof. Dr.
Thomas Weitin) for a fixed term of three years.

Qualifications

·         You have a Master’s degree / doctorate in empirical literature,
empirical aesthetics, experimental linguistics or cognitive psychology

·         You have experience in laboratory research, ideally with a setup
of eye tracking and peripheral physiology

·         You enjoy working in a research team

·         You are highly interested in interdisciplinary research questions

·         You have a very good command of both German and English

 

Main Responsibilities

·         Experimental research in the field of Digital Literary Studies
with a focus on reading research and empirical text analysis

·         Development and implementation of your own research project

·          Management of the laboratory 

·         Participation in the preparation of a large-scale project on
attention research

·         Support in administrative tasks within the empirical projects of
the department
