We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow for a project at the
interface between neural circuits and behaviour in the Neural Computation
Laboratory at University College London.

The project involves using the revolutionary new ‘Neuropixels’ probes (
http://www.ucl.ac.uk/neuropixels) to make massively parallel recordings
from large populations of neurons in the brains of awake behaving mice.

The successful applicant will join a thriving multidisciplinary group (
http://www.dendrites.org/) which aims to understand how computations are
implemented in single neurons and neural circuits to drive behaviour.
Neuropixels
recordings will be integrated with other techniques being used in the lab
such as two-photon microscopy, two-photon optogenetics, and behavioral
paradigms in virtual reality. Opportunities exist for collaborations with
colleagues in computational neuroscience, engineering, computer science and
other fields. UCL is based in central London, with the highest
concentration of neuroscience researchers in the world.

The successful applicant will be expected to take a leading role in all
aspects of the project, from designing and performing experiments,
developing technical advances, performing data analysis and presenting the
results.

The post is funded for 2 years in the first instance and is available
immediately.

You should apply for this post through UCL's online recruitment website:
www.ucl.ac.uk/hr/jobs (Ref #: 1683637). Closing date for applications
is *Friday
8th June 2018.*
