We have several fully funded PhD or Postdoc positions open in our
Machine Learning & Robotics Lab, Univ. of Stuttgart, Germany.

Applicants should be enthusiastic about bringing AI to real-world
robotic systems. We aim to see physical reasoning, coping with
uncertainty, sample-efficient learning, and learning from/interacting
with humans happening online on real systems. Training from huge data
in simulations is fair as a means, but not the goal of our research.

Applicants should have a strong background in AI or robotics, covering
at least parts of the foundations in optimization, machine learning,
probabilistic reasoning, AI reasoning, robot control, motion planning,
or computer vision. Strong background on the application and coding
side (ROS, robotics) are also beneficial.
