Together with the success of the STACOM workshop (held with MICCAI since
2011), we present the 1st Challenge on Multi-Modality Whole Heart
Segmentation (to be held with MICCAI 2017, in Quebec City, Canada). The
Challenge provides 120 images, including 60 cardiac CT and 60 cardiac MRI,
all acquired in real clinical environment, for various research groups to
test and validate their methods, particularly for multi-modality whole
heart segmentation. The aim of the Workshop will not only be benchmarking
various whole heart segmentation algorithms, but also to cover the topic of
general cardiac image segmentation and registration and modeling. The best
work will be awarded with a prize funded by Nvidia, and the accepted
manuscript will be included into the proceedings published with the STACOM
workshop (Lecture Notes in Computer Science LNCS | Springer). In addition,
the benchmarked algorithms will be summarised to form a full paper for
potential publications in MedIA and IEEE TMI, and the participants will
share the credit.

Topics:

Whole heart segmentation (WHS), including
