To whom it may concern,

I wanted to let you know about exciting new Physical Sciences and Computational Methods Funding Opportunity Announcements from NIMH that haven just been published at the following urls:

* From Genomic Association to Causation: A Convergent Neuroscience Approach for Integrating Levels of Analysis to Delineate Brain Function in Neuropsychiatry (U01)<https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-17-179.html>

* From Genomic Association to Causation: A Convergent Neuroscience Approach for Integrating Levels of Analysis to Delineate Brain Function in Neuropsychiatry (Collaborative U01)<https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-17-176.html>
The deadline for submitting application is May 1st, 2017.

These FOAs seek to bring a physical sciences perspective (e.g., data/computational science, physics, engineering, mathematics, and environmental sciences) to neuropsychiatric research questions. Project under this FOA would develop, test, and validate explanatory computational models, artificial intelligence conceptual frameworks and theoretical approaches that connect contiguous levels of analysis to elucidate biological underpinnings of complex behavioral (including cognitive and affective) outcomes in psychopathology.

If you have any questions related to these announcements please contact us at Geetha.Senthil at nih.gov<mailto:Geetha.Senthil at nih.gov> and Andrew.Rossi at nih.gov<mailto:Andrew.Rossi at nih.gov> to discuss further. Please feel free to share these with other groups who would be interested in applying.
