Dear colleagues,
We are seeking applications for a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Psychology at Penn State University under the direction of Michael Hallquist, Ph.D. and Alex Dombrovski, M.D. (University of Pittsburgh). The research scholar will work on NIMH-funded projects of decision-making in suicide and borderline personality disorder. Scholars will have ample opportunities to develop independent research projects and to publish empirical papers on suicide and borderline personality disorder using existing data. Ideally, applicants should have experience with both functional neuroimaging and the development of reinforcement-learning or computational models of behavior. This position will require excellent quantitative and statistical skills, and successful candidates will have a track record of published high-quality research. Proficiency with MATLAB, R, AFNI and/or FSL is desirable.
Funding is available now with a flexible start date. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis starting in December 2017. This is a two-year position with possible funding for a third year of postdoctoral training. Salary and benefits will conform to standard postdoctoral rates at The Pennsylvania State University. Candidates must have completed all of the requirements for a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, quantitative psychology, bioengineering, or a related field at the time of the appointment. To apply, please submit a curriculum vitae and cover letter describing your research interests and experience. Please arrange to have three letters of recommendations sent to Michael Hallquist (michael.hallquist at psu.edu)
