Connectionists: Two Samsung funded postdoc positions at the Univesity of Venice

Applications are invited for two postdoc positions at the European Center
for Living Technology (www.ecltech.org), a complex systems center based at
the University of Venice, Italy, to undertake research in machine learning
and computer vision.

The positions are funded by Samsung within the Global Research Outreach
program:

The successful candidates will join the Computer Vision and Pattern
Recognition group, headed by Prof. Marcello Pelillo, and will work on a
project that aims at developing context-aware models for machine learning
and computer vision based on game theory:

The group has an established international reputation with a track record
of top-level publications, and it will be organizing ICCV 2017, which will
be held in Venice in October 2017.

Candidates should have a PhD in Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning (or
should at least have submitted the thesis and awaiting the viva). A solid
mathematical background and good programming skills are expected.

The appointment will be for one year (renewable) starting from
September/October 2015, and the salary will range from EUR 23,000 to EUR
35,000 per annum, according to the level of expertise.
