Connectionists: Call for Contributions - Frontiers Research Topic - "Representation in the brain"

Mental representation in the brain remains an unresolved issue. However, there has been significant research in a variety of fields in the last four decades - from neuroscience to theoretical computer science - which can provide new insights on the issue of representation. 
 
Frontiers in Psychology, Cognition section, will publish a comprehensive set of articles as an open access e-book, under the title “Representation in the brain,” that aims to provide new insights on this decades long question. A more elaborate outline of the Research Topic is available at:

More than 20 authors from a variety of fields have already committed to submit articles to this Research Topic. All articles will go through the standard Frontiers review process and we expect this e-book to serve as standard reference on this topic in the future.
 
The following are the deadlines:
1.      An abstract for the paper is due by January 15, 2016
2.      Papers are due by June 30, 2016
