Workshop Title: Dynamics of Neural Circuits

Venue: Institute for Complex Systems, CNR, Florence, IT

Date: March 17-19 2014

Webpage: http://neuro.fi.isc.cnr.it/ index.php?page=NETT2014.

This is the 4th workshop organized by the Marie Curie Initial Training
Network "Neural Engineering Transformative Technologies (NETT)". It
focuses on Dynamics of Neural Circuits, including: experimental work
on large-scale recording of neural activity, novel tools for analyzing
high-dimensional neural datasets, and theoretical aspects related to
the emergence of collective behaviors in these systems.

Invited speakers:

Ralph Andrzejak (University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain)
Stefano Boccaletti (Institute for Complex Systems, Sesto Fiorentino, Italy)
Ingo Bojak (University of Reading, UK)
Laurent Bougrain (INRIA, Nancy, France)
Raffaella Burioni (University of Parma, Italy)
Daniel Chicharro (IIT, Genova, Italy)
Alain Destexhe (National Center for Scientific Research, Gif-sur-Yvette, France)
Peter Grassberger (Research Center Juelich, Germany)
Conor Houghton (University of Bristol, UK)
Axel Hutt (INRIA, Nancy, France)
Thomas Knöpfel (Imperial College, London, UK)

Jason Maclean (University of Chicago, USA)
Valentina Pasquale (IIT, Genova, Italy)
Francesco Saverio Pavone (University of Florence, Italy)
Eckehard Schoell (Technical University Berlin, Germany)
Simon Schultz (Imperial College, London, UK)

In addition to invited and a few contributed talks there will also be
an open poster session.

There is some (limited) space to accommodate external speakers and
participants. If you intend to give a contributed talk or present a
poster please send us a short abstract, otherwise send us just a few
lines in which you explain why this workshop is important for you.
This selection procedure is necessary due to space and budget
limitations.

The deadline for application to attend by non NETT members is January
31, 2014. Confirmations will be sent out by February 7, 2014. Once
your participation is confirmed the deadline for the registration is
February 28, 2014.
