Two post-doctoral fellows are sought to conduct research under the
direction of Drs. Amy Criss and Michael Kalish in the Department of
Psychology at Syracuse University. The broad goals of the research
program are to develop and evaluate models of human learning and
memory using behavioral experiments, advanced statistical techniques
(including hierarchical Bayesian analysis) and mathematical cognitive
modeling. Dr Criss's primary work is in episodic memory, while Dr
Kalish focus is on category learning processes. We are looking for a
candidate in each of these areas, and are especially interested in
scholars who can bridge the two.

Successful candidates will have a PhD in cognitive psychology,
cognitive science or related fields (computer science, applied maths,
neuroscience) and will have relevant research experience. The funding
is for one year with subsequent years possible based on positive
evaluation and availability of funds. Salary will be commensurate with
experience. Apply online at
https://www.sujobopps.com/hr/postings/53456 (for Dr Criss) or
https://www.sujobopps.com/postings/53726 (for Dr Kalish) and attach
curriculum vita, brief statement of research interests (including
reference to the research of Criss/Kalish respectively), and contact
information for 3 references.

Review of applications will begin immediately and will be accepted
until the positions are filled. An appointment may begin as early as
June 2014. SU is an EEO/AA employer.
