Connectionists: Position for PhD / postdoc in Theoretical Neuroscience

The Theoretical Neuroscience lab in the Technion (
http://barak.net.technion.ac.il) is just starting and we are seeking
postdocs and graduate students.
Research topics include the nature of neural representation, interaction
between multiple neural timescales, reverse engineering of recurrent neural
networks, and more.
Importantly, our experimental neighbors (
http://neuroscience.technion.ac.il/research_group) offer a range of
stimulating results to think about.
The lab is also a member of the Network Biology Research Laboratories (
http://nbr.technion.ac.il/), offering a broader perspective on various
Biological systems.

Successful applicants are expected to carry out both independent original
research, as well as collaborative work with faculty and/or students. The
main selection criteria will be outstanding research accomplishments,
creativity and promise of future achievement.

Postdoctoral fellowships are for two to three years pending on budget and
progress.
