Could you send this annoucement of a post-doctoral position :
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position to carry out theoretical
and computational research on non-smooth dynamical networks. The research
interests currently focus on network dynamics and non-smooth systems.
The research work will be related to the following domains: dynamical systems,
bifurcation, event-driven simulation,
hybrid computation, non-smooth dynamics. We investigate the dynamical properties
of networks coming from the modeling of biological systems (neurons, metabolic,
population, ...). We are mainly interested (but not limited) in the numerical
simulation of spiking neural networks. We try to understand how local dynamics
create emergent properties (synchronization, oscillations, traveling waves). The
position is funded for one-year. The applicant should be able to perform
independent research. He should have a strong background in applied mathematics
and experience in programming.
Applicants should send a curriculum vitae and two letters of recommandation send
by email to Arnaud Tonnelier (arnaud.tonnelier at inrialpes.fr) and Dominique
Martinez (dominique.martinez at loria.fr). The candidate will work at INRIA
Montbonnot and/or the campus university of Grenoble. The position is available
immediately.
