New Graduate Program in Neural Computation
at Carnegie Mellon University and
the University of Pittsburgh
In recognition of the increased demand for computationally-oriented
researchers, Carnegie Mellon University, in collaboration with the
University of Pittsburgh, has begun a Ph.D. program in computational
neuroscience. As neuroscientists have applied new technologies to acquire
and analyze large data sets, and have developed new models for understanding
increasingly complicated neurobiological systems, quantitative methods have
become centrally important to their effort. The new program takes advantage
of the unusually large and highly collaborative group of faculty and
students in neuroscience in the Pittsburgh community.
Details about program curriculum, training faculty, and contact information
are available at:

The deadline for applications is February 1, 2007.
