An exciting 24-MONTH post is IMMEDIATELY available for a Vision 
Scientist/Engineer.

You will assist the development and integration of a neural network 
based natural object categoriser for field and laboratory use.  The 
existing prototype (Windows platform) is capable of categorising 23 
species of marine plankton, but has to be further developed and a user 
interface tailored to Marine Ecologists for real-time operation.

You should have a working knowledge of neural networks, current machine 
vision techniques. Familiarity with visual perception and 
multi-dimensional clustering statistics would be valuable.  You should 
ideally be familiar with Windows operating systems as well as being a 
C++ programmer.

The POST IS AVAILABLE February/March and will involve some European 
travel.
