                     CALL FOR DEMONSTRATIONS

SBRN'2000 - VIth BRAZILIAN SYMPOSIUM ON NEURAL NETWORKS

                    http://www.iltc.br/sbrn2000

Rio de Janeiro, November 22-25, 2000

The SBRN'2000 will host a Demonstration Session, in parallel with
Tutorials in November 22, 2000. The Demonstration Session showcases
state-of-the-art Neural software products and provides researchers
with an opportunity to show their research in action. Early exhibition
of research prototypes are encouraged but commercial products will
also be present. This will be an opportunity to put face-to-face
innovative research prototypes and mature commercial products. The
Demonstration Session will be an "open-house" event in the first day
of the Symposium. However, all accepted research demonstrations will
be left available within the Poster Sessions. A CD-ROM containing a
short animated version of each demonstration will be possibly pressed
and distributed to participants.

Participants are invited to submit proposals to demonstrated their
systems, especially those whose papers were accepted for presentation
at the conference program. In addition to contact information,
proposals must include the following:

- A two-page description of the technical content of the demo,
  including credits and references.
- An animated version of the demonstration or a demo storyboard (six
pages maximum). This will be the primary method of evaluating the
  proposals.
- A detailed description of hardware and software requirements. The
Organising Committee will provide the Demonstration Session with
generic PCs and standard software. Unix- and Mac -based
  demonstrations will be possible.

The Demonstration Session will also allow demonstrations via the web.
Anyone interested in participating should include a URL that accesses
their demo with their proposal.

Demonstration proposals must be received entirely including any
supporting materials by August 28. Authors will be notified of
acceptance by September 29, 2000. Any question or comments as so as
demonstration proposals must be made electronically directly to the
Demonstrations Chair.
