LECTURESHIP IN STATISTICS

School of Physical Sciences - St Lucia Campus - UQ

Opportunity to work in a leading centre of statistical research in
Australia .

The discipline of Mathematics (statistics/applied probability group) in
the School of Physical Sciences is the major provider of undergraduate and
postgraduate statistical education in Queensland, and is a leading centre
of statistical research in Australia.

We are seeking an appointment at Lecturer Level B preferably in the area
of applied statistics.

In the role of Lecturer, the successful applicant will undertake teaching,
postgraduate supervision, and further development of the School's
Mathematics program, as well as perform research, administrative and other
activities associated with the School and its Statistics Research
Activities.

Applicants must possess postgraduate qualifications (PHD level or
equivalent) in statistics and will have established a strong reputation
for research in an area of applied statistics.

This is a full time, fixed term appointment for 3 years at Academic Level
B. The remuneration package will be in the range of $71,293 - $84,660 per
annum, which includes employer superannuation contributions of 17%.
