UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO: The Department of Computer Science is seeking
outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the
assistant professor level. This position is targeted for candidates
whose research focuses on computational biology or bioinformatics, and
whose interests overlap the department's core strengths in
machine learning, high-performance computing, security, systems and
software, and theory.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in computer science or a related
discipline, enthusiasm for working with both undergraduate and
graduate students, and the ability to develop an innovative
interdisciplinary research program.
This position is one of several that the University has committed to
bioinformatics as part of a larger initiative in Molecular
Biotechnology. It provides an unrivaled opportunity for a top
computer scientist to join a critical mass of colleagues from many
disciplines including life sciences and biological engineering.
