ASSISTANT FACULTY POSITION IN COGNITIVE AND/OR SYSTEMS NEUROSCIENCE 
AT THE THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS - SAN ANTONIO

The Department of Biology at The University of Texas at San Antonio 
(UTSA) (http://www.utsa.edu) invites applications for a tenure track 
Assistant Professor faculty position in the general area of Cognitive 
and/or Systems Neurobiology, broadly defined. Neuroscience is a 
rapidly growing emphasis at UTSA led by the Cajal Neuroscience 
Research Institute (http://bio.utsa.edu/Cajal/) , an 
interdepartmental organization of neuroscience faculty. 

Applicant's research interests should include experimental and 
computational techniques but can apply to any area of 
neuro-biological research.

The Department of Biology consists of 30 faculty members, and offers 
a B.S. degree in Biology, M.S. degrees in Biology and Biotechnology, 
and a Ph.D. degree in Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology.   New 
research facilities will be an integral part of a $83 million, 
228,000 square foot Biological Sciences Building currently under 
construction.  Advanced Neuroimaging facilities are also available 
through the Research Imaging Center at the University of Texas Health 
Science Center San Antonio.  A competitive start-up package is 
available. We are especially interested in candidates committed to
