NNESMED/CIMED International Conference Sheffield July 21 - 23, 20 03

After the success of the NNESMED conference held last year in the Island of
Milos,  the conference returns to the UK.  It is expected to retain the
single-track format, in order to foster the multidisciplinary interaction
that is a regular feature of this event.

The deadline for submission of extended abstractsis 31 January 2003.

FIFTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON NEURAL NETWORKS AND EXPERT SYSTEMS IN
MEDICINE AND HEALTHCARE, NNESMED 2003 and First International Conference on
Computational Intelligence in Medicine and Healthcare, CIMED 2003
July 21 - 23, 2003, School of Engineering, Sheffield Hallam University,
Sheffield, England 
 
This is the fifth of a successful series of international conferences
focused on the application of intelligent computational methods and systems
to support all areas of biomedical, clinical, and healthcare practice, which
brings together healthcare specialists, clinicians, biomedical engineers,
computer scientists, communication and computer network engineers, and
applied mathematicians. The language of the conference is English.

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
Authors are requested to submit an extended abstract (two pages in length,
single spacing, full details in the Call for Papers, available early
October). Extended abstracts should clearly identify the medical or
healthcare context of the work, the methodology used, the advances made and
the significance of the results. Papers will be accepted as either full
session oral papers or as poster papers. Authors whose abstracts are
accepted will be asked to develop them into full papers of 4-6 pages length
for inclusion in the conference proceedings. 

IMPORTANT DEADLINES
Submission of extended abstracts: 31 January 2003, Notification of
provisional acceptance: 28 February 2003, Submission of full papers (camera
ready): 18 April 2003, Receipt of Conference Booking Form: 13 June 2003.

CONFERENCE FEES
The full non-residential conference fee for bookings made by 30 April 2003
is 300. Later bookings will incur a supplementary charge of 50. A daily
rate of  180 is also available, which does not include evening dinner. 

ACCOMMODATION AND SOCIAL PROGRAMME
The booking form will include details of residential accommodation in hotels
and student residences to suit all budgets. Accommodation is not included in
the conference fee. Details of the proposed social programme will appear in
the Call for Papers.
