POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS IN SYSTEMS NEUROPHYSIOLOGY AND NEUROENGINEERING

Four postdoctoral positions are available immediately as part of a
collaborative project involving the laboratories of Drs. Jon Kaas and Troy
Hackett at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Mandayam Srinivasan at MIT, and Dr.
Mark Laubach at Yale University.

Two positions in system neurophysiology are available. These positions,
primarily at Vanderbilt, will involve using multi-electrode recording
methods to study auditory-related areas of the macaque cerebral cortex. We
are seeking one person with experience in the auditory system and another
with experience in multi-electrode recording methods.

Two positions that bridge the gap between physiology and engineering are
also available, primarily at Yale. One of these positions requires expertise
in neurophysiology, electronics, and computer-based instrumentation. This
person will develop, test, and implement new procedures for multi-electrode
microstimulation. The second position requires expertise in modern methods
for data analysis (multispectral techniques and machine learning/pattern
recognition) and/or real-time data acquisition and analysis.

A major requirement for all these positions is strong skills in teamwork and
communication (in English).

We request that only qualified and serious candidates apply. If interested,
please send a vita, a list of publications, a summary of research
experience, and the names of three individuals who can be contacted as
