NIPS 2001: Post Workshop Data Competition
In an effort to foster development of machine learning techniques
and evaluate different algorithms for brain computer interfaces
(BCI), we are announcing a data analysis competition. Datasets are
available for download from
http://newton.bme.columbia.edu/competition.htm . Participants are
asked to follow a few simple rules:
1. All data sets should be evaluated single-trial--you should not
average across multiple trials.
2. Report your classification results (i.e. labels) on the test
set. You can report results for any or all of the datasets.
3. Please submit a short (one page or less) description of the
pattern classifier you used. Please include a description of any
pre/post processing that you may have done.
4. Use of these datasets implies that the participant agrees to cite
the origin of the data in any publication (e.g. see each dataset
description for bibTex entry).
ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE JUNE 1st 2002 .
Announcement of results will be coordinated with the June 2002 BCI
Workshop (in upstate NY).
Email submissions to nips-bci at newton.bme.columbia.edu.
Questions should be directed to nips-bci at newton.bme.columbia.edu.
New information on the competition and datasets will be posted
periodically on this site. Good Luck
