Both the International Conference on Artificial Neural Networks and
the International Conference on Neural Information Processing are very
well established conferences, the first being the main annual
conference of European Neural Network Society and the latter of the
Asia Pacific Neural Netrworks Assembly. In 2003, the two conferences
will, for the first time, be held jointly and what better place can
there be for such an event than Istanbul, where East meets West.
