Applications from researchers with experience in machine learning or data
mining are invited for two post-doctoral positions within the Machine
Learning Group in the Department of Computer Science at Trinity College
Dublin. The positions are funded by Science Foundation Ireland as part of a
research project on knowledge discovery and explanation in bioinformatics,
medical informatics and finance.

The project will tackle six problems from machine learning and data mining.
These are; Local Feature Weighting in Lazy-Learning Systems, Explanation in
Case-Based Reasoning Systems, Explanation in Ensembles of Regression
Systems, Overfitting in Feature Weighting / Feature Selection, Validation of
Clustering Results and Explanation of Clustering Results.

Salary in the range Euro25,000-Euro33,000 per annum dependent upon
publication
