Intelligent Optical Systems (IOS), a world leader in the development
of innovative optical sensors, is seeking a Research Scientist with
expertise and hands-on experience in advanced signal and image
processing, including neural computation.  The ideal candidate will
have a doctoral degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or
equivalent, plus experience in securing funding through proposal
writing.  Expertise in spectroscopy and image enhancement are a
definite plus.  Functions would include image analysis and
enhancement, biomedical diagnosis, chemical analysis, and object
recognition, using AI and neural computation-based implementations in
